Marcello Lippi, the legendary manager, has admitted what he expects from Juventus after changing coaches from Massimiliano Allegri to Thiago Motta, and also talked about how to deal with Dusan Vlahovic.
Allegri was sacked hours after leading Juventus to Coppa Italia glory in 2024, with reports suggesting the Bianconeri have long identified Motta as their replacement after impressing at Bologna.

“I actually expected something different from Allegri,” Lippi told DAZN. “I saw Thiago Motta as a coach with great ability, determination and dedication, but after Allegri’s departure I imagined they would get someone who would inspire the fans even more.”
Meanwhile, Lippi also spoke about Motta’s management of Dusan Vlahovic, who became a secondary option after Randal Kolo Mouani’s arrival, which affected the players’ form and confidence.
“I’ve dealt with situations like this myself and tried to reassure the players who deserved to play, but it also depends on what they’ve done in the past.”
